Are you tired of “Egg Fried Rice”? Or do you want to try something new? Then, you came to the right place. Today, I will show you 5 Super Easy Fried Rice. I’m pretty sure it can’t be easier than these! Alright, are you guys ready? Let’s get started!
#1 DUMPLING FRIED RICE (1 serving)
Ingredients:
- 2-3 frozen dumplings
- 1-2 green onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp neutral-tasting oil
- 1 tsp oyster sauce (or soy sauce)
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup (210g) cooked and cooled rice (preferably day-old rice)
- Salt, to taste
- Salad mix (or fried egg), to serve
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, add the frozen dumplings along with 1/2 tablespoon of water. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Once they’re defrosted, cut them with scissors.
2. Thinly slice the green onions. Finely chop the garlic.
3. In a wok (or pan), heat the oil (1 tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once it gets nice and hot, add the green onions and garlic. Saute for 1 minute or until fragrant.
4. Throw in the dumplings. Add the oyster sauce and black pepper to taste. Stir-fry it until well combined.
5. Add the rice and stir-fry it. Taste and add more salt to taste. Serve with some salad mix or a fried egg. Enjoy~!
#2 KIMCHI FRIED RICE (1 serving)
Ingredients:
- 2-3 kimchi dumplings
- 1-2 green onions
- 1 tbsp neutral-tasting oil
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup (210g) cooked and cooled rice (preferably day-old rice)
- Salt (or oyster sauce, soy sauce), to taste
- 1 fried egg, to serve
- Generous pinch of toasted sesame seeds, to garnish
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, add the frozen dumplings along with 1/2 tablespoon of water. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Once they are defrosted, cut them with scissors.
2. Thinly slice the green onions.
3. In a wok (or pan), heat the oil (1 tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once it gets nice and hot, add the green onions. Saute for 1 minute or until fragrant. Throw in the dumplings. Add black pepper to taste. Give it a few stirs.
4. Add the cooked rice and stir-fry it. Taste and add any kind of seasoning (oyster sauce, soy sauce, or salt) you like. FYI, I put 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce.
5. Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with a fried egg and sesame seeds. Enjoy~!
#3 BACON FRIED RICE (1 serving)
Ingredients:
- 1-2 green onions
- 1 slice uncooked bacon
- 1 hash brown (or French fries)
- 1 cup (210g) cooked and cooled rice (preferably day-old rice)
- 1 egg yolk
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tbsp neutral-tasting oil
- 1/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 tsp soy sauce
Instructions:
1. Thinly slice the green onions and bacon. Cut hash brown into small pieces.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, egg yolk, and salt to taste. Mix until thoroughly combined.
3. In a wok (or pan), heat the oil (1 tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once it gets nice and hot, add the green onions and make green onion oil. Add the bacon, hash brown, and some frozen vegetables. Stir-fry everything.
4. Push everything over to one side of the pan and into that empty space, add 1 teaspoon of soy sauce. Wait a little bit and mix everything together.
5. Add in the rice. Stir-fry everything. Taste and add more salt if it’s necessary. Transfer it to a serving plate. Sprinkle on some green onions. Enjoy~!
#4 TUNA FRIED RICE (1 serving)
Ingredients:
- 1-2 green onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 canned tuna (80g)
- 1 tbsp neutral-tasting oil, plus more for egg
- 1/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup (210g) cooked and cooled rice (preferably day-old rice)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp fish sauce
- Small pinch of sugar (or MSG)
Instructions:
1. Thinly slice the green onions. Finely chop the garlic. Drain the canned tuna.
2. In a wok (or pan), heat the oil (1 tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once it gets nice and hot, add the green onions and garlic. Saute for 1 minute or until fragrant. Add some frozen vegetables and stir-fry them.
3. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the drained tuna and salt and pepper to taste. Stir-fry it for 2 minutes. Add the cooked rice and stir-fry it.
4. Push everything over to one side of the pan and into that empty space, add a splash of oil and crack an egg. Give it a few stirs. When the egg is about 80% cooked, mix it with the rice.
5. Add the oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Stir-fry it. Transfer it to a serving plate. Enjoy~!
#5 SSAMJANG FRIED RICE (1 serving)
Ingredients:
- 1-2 green onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3.5 oz (100g) pork belly (or pork shoulder, leg, chicken thigh, etc.)
- 1 tbsp neutral-tasting oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 cup (210g) cooked and cooled rice (preferably day-old rice)
- 1 tbsp Korean dipping sauce (ssamjang)
- 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
Instructions:
1. Thinly slice the green onions and garlic. Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
2. In a wok (or pan), heat the oil (1 tbsp) over medium-high heat. Once it gets nice and hot, add the pork belly. Season with salt and pepper. Add the garlic.
3. If there’s too much oil in the wok, you can wipe it off with paper towels. When the pork is cooked, add the soy sauce. Give it a few stirs.
4. Add the cooked rice, green onions, and ssamjang. Keep stirring it.
5. Drizzle in the sesame oil and mix it. Transfer it to a serving plate. Garnish with green onions. Enjoy~!
